Each piece of the structure was numbered, disassembled, and rebuilt near the site of the original Mackelduff barn, preserving local history. With the popularity of the Manor Barn, an early 1800’s barn was purchased and connected to the existing barn in late 2014. In 2021, the firm filed plans to build an 84-unit townhome complex on a 3.2-acre lot once owned by Long Beach’s defunct redevelopment agency at 5801 Atlantic Avenue. Plans for the 4-acre site call for 16 rows of three-story townhomes with two-, three- and four-bedrooms, plus parking for 214 cars.

This circular location is surrounded by stones with a large pin oak tree front and center. Directly in front of the large oak is a flat rock on which brides and grooms can stand during the ceremony. Though guests will enter the ceremony through the meadow, the processional will begin from a different location. The bridal party will make their way to the footbridge in the Glen and walk through an “S” shaped curve into the Oak Grove. This enhances the intimate feeling of the location and keep the bride hidden until it’s her turn to make her way down the aisle. The city has signed off on plans by the Irvine-based developer to build the homes at 6540 Rosemead Boulevard, Urbanize Los Angeles reported. Although the original barn on the property was lost, in 2012, the Ecks obtained a local circa 1794 barn that was destined for demolition.
